Forklift Fuses - A fuse comprises either a metal strip on a wire fuse element in a small cross-section which are attached to circuit conductors. These devices are usually mounted between a couple of electrical terminals and usually the fuse is cased inside a non-combustible and non-conducting housing. The fuse is arranged in series which could carry all the current passing throughout the protected circuit. The resistance of the element produces heat due to the current flow. When it comes to current-limiting fuses, the voltage needed so as to sustain the arc builds up fast enough to essentially stop the fault current previous to the first peak of the AC waveform.
