P.A. Fisker, the founder of Nilfisk-Advance, was actually an electrical engineer who loved working with electrical motors. Starting the company in the year 1906, he began to produce motors so as to drive drills, fans, machine tools and coffee grinders. Mr. Fisker's vision from the beginning was to have a global business selling merchandise worldwide.

The Nilfisk C1 was a remarkable breakthrough for the cleaning industry. This ground breaking vacuum cleaner, invented by Mr. Fisker, weighed only 17.5 kilos and can be operated by a single person. This creation came in a time where various cleaning equipment were very big and needed at least 4 operators, hence, the Nilfisk C1 transformed everything and developed the manner we clean forever. The mastermind behind these first cleaning equipment remains unparalleled. Cleaning equipment offer an excellent solution to an existing dilemma; things get filthy and should be cleaned on a regular basis, without too much effort.

Gradually, the company Nilfisk-Advance grew throughout the years. During the the early part of the nineteen eighties the business developed more rapidly when the company became a part of the NKT Group. With new owners on board, they focused on driving Nilfisk-Advance ahead within the trade, aspiring to be an active worldwide player in manufacturing professional cleaning machines. Nilfisk-Advance is now located in every part of the world by steadily acquiring numerous smaller companies so as to develop their product range and presence in new markets.
